On September 19, 2023, the Oakland City Council unanimously supported the Planning Commission’s approval of the South Campus Plan (formally known as the “Head-Royce School Planned Unit Development Permit (PUD) Project”), paving the way for the school to finally break ground! Thanks to the outpouring of community support and persuasive testimony from many community members—including a number of eloquent student speakers—Head-Royce will break ground on the project this fall.
